Happy New Year

I’ve traveled around collecting ghosts all my life
As if I didn’t have enough on my shoulders
I chose to carry every person that ever left a mark on me
Down familiar streets and train stations where nostalgia swallows me whole
From now on I will try to take only lessons from them
Rather than hold onto the memories of things that will never be again
